Connecticut Gun Control

To the citizens of Connecticut, with the new Connecticut gun control laws, now is the time to address this issue! Your government has set in place, the ‘building blocks’ to take away your firearms! The state of Connecticut is now demanding, through new CT gun control regulations, that gun owners throughout the state relinquish all the newly banned, unregistered firearms and magazines that they possess or face felony arrest!

At this time, the State Police Special Licensing and Firearms Unit is mailing out notices to all gun owners that attempted to register their firearms and magazines with the state, but did not do so before the January 1st deadline of Connecticut’s newly enacted gun control law. This new law bans the sale of magazines holding more than 10 rounds and “assault rifles” manufactured after 1994, and it requires residents who possess either to register them with the state of Connecticut. The letter that they send out states “we are returning your application for an assault rifle certificate and or large capacity magazine declaration because it was not received or postmarked by Friday, January 1, 2014 as required by law” so, basically anyone who attempts to register now is out of luck, and must relinquish their weapon. The only options that you have are:

  • Surrendering your weapon and magazines to your local police department. (GIVE them away)
  • selling them to a gun dealer
  • removing them from the state
  • or rendering of them “inoperable”
